Dental Crowns

Dental Crowns are made of porcelain, metal, or a combination. The dentist prepares the tooth and the crowns are made by the dental lab. Crowns can make a tooth more esthetic looking while making the tooth stronger. Crowns can cover up stains, change the color of the tooth, the shaoe or the position, which will improve the esthetic of your smile.

To make a crown we first have to prepare the tooth by removing older fillings and any decayed areas. We file the tooth 1-2 mm all the way around and take an impression of it. We send the impression to the lab and they fabricate a crown in a week. For this time you will have a temporary crown on your tooth, made by the dentist in the office.
